Noel Pointer Foundation Announces Open Audition Call for Youth Orchestra


Noel Pointer FoundationThe Noel Pointer Foundation is thrilled to announce an opportunity for your musically inclined New York audience to join our Youth Orchestra!

Students from 10-18 years old, with 3-5 years of training in a string-based instrument are eligible to audition. To schedule an audition day and time, contact Jamie Benson at

This audition-only, performance intensive challenges selected students to achieve their full potential as a young musicians while offering once-in-a-lifetime performance opportunities throughout the city. The Orchestra is lead by acclaimed conductor, Jesse Henkensiefken. Rehearsals are on Saturdays 1pm – 3pm.

Those participating in the open call audition will receive FREE tickets to NPF’s upcoming Collaborative Concert and Fiddlefest.

Collaborative Concert – Friday, March 22, 2013, 6:30 p.m. NPF’s Youth Orchestra joins the Brooklyn Conservatory  to perform Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” at St. Ann & The Holy Trinity, 157 Montague Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Fiddlefest – Saturday, April 27, 2013, 2:00 p.m. Featured performances by NPF’s junior musicians and Teaching Artists at Prospect Heights High School, 883 Classon Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
