Releasing March 17th, the debut album from Philly Nouveau, featuring guest vocalist, William Devaughn.
Philly Nouveau is proud to announce the release of their debut album, Mesmerized featuring their latest single, “Slow Down,” with guest vocalist, William Devaughn, singing with our own, Cristina Joy. William is the legendary songwriter and singer behind the classic hits, “Figures Can’t Calculate” and “Be Thankful for What You Got” (recently sampled by Ne-Yo and Young Jeezy).
In addition to “Slow Down,” Mesmerized features a re-make of the J’s hit, “When Did You Stop” and four new songs performed brilliantly by an all-star band of veteran studio musicians that includes: guitarist, Allan Slutsky (aka Dr. Licks; Chaka Khan and The Funk Brothers); saxophonists, Carl Cox (Gerald Veasley, JayZ and The Roots) and Larry McKenna (Tony Bennett, Clark Terry, Frank Sinatra); percussionist, Doc Gibbs (Al Jarreau, Grover Washington, Jr. and Emeril Live); keyboardist/percussionist, Louis deLise; trumpeter, Matt Cappy (The Roots, Patti LaBelle); bassists, Steven Beskrone (Horace Silver, Ray Charles and Pat Martino) and Andy Lalasis (Pat Martino). Philly Nouveau features the sultry vocals of newcomer, Cristina Joy.
Produced, Arranged and Conducted by Louis deLise (Hit records with Patti LaBelle, Wm. DeVaughn, and John Gibbs).
